Fabrics from the Ocean
No waste. No new resources.
We source fabric made from recycled plastic objects from the ocean and fishing nets. The waste is collected from beaches around the world and processed together with other fibres into threads.
Our “ocean collection”, uses ECONYL, a material which is made entirely out of fishing nets and plastic waste. The yarn is a global recycled standard and is PFC material. The fabric only uses organic dies. Engineered with the help of nanochemists, each garment is “built” around the materials used, rather than the other way round, to ensure it can be worn in every season.

Eco Collection: Recycled Fabrics for a Clean Ocean
We have launched an Eco Ocean Capsule in Monte-Carlo. The outerwear garments are made from recycled plastic objects from the ocean. The collection has been showcased at the Sustainable "No Waste" Fashion Show in Monaco supported by the Gouvernement Princier de Monaco. The show aimed to promote the sustainable management of resources and waste.

Blazing a trail in circular innovation, Lavacopenhagen, presents Infinity in its first circular, 100% recyclable collection which gathers into one garment Lava's commitment to creating a cleaner ocean through design, sustainability, and innovation. This nonseasonal and multifunctional line is directly inspired by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation.
SUSTAINABILITY THROUGH DESIGN
To eliminate over consumerism we design multifunctional outerwear. Our outwear collection is engineered purposely to serve multiple functions in the lifestyle of the modern 21st century woman. The adaptability of our pieces mean that a single coat will cater for all 4 seasons.
Our adaptable coats include detachable sleeves, giving the consumer the answer to whatever the weather throws at them. The parka coats are engineered with a double layered design that can be worn independently during the warm season. These pieces are considered to be innovative and timeless, as they are independent of unpredictable weather climates. We strive to eliminate the necessity of purchasing a coat for every season.
UN Developmental Goals
With each LAVA piece, we consider the environmental and social impacts across the entire life cycle. By focusing on circularity and implementing circular models, we want to eliminate overproduction, reduce waste and extend the life of our products.
As part of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, we focus on these themes through our entire textile production, labour force and multifunctional design:
10) Reduced Inequalities, 12) Responsible Consumption and Production, 14) Life below water.

Our Sustainable Mission
Did you know that the textile industry is one of the largest climate polluters in the world? For that reason, we have decided to use recycled fabrics, organic cotton and natural organic dyes in our outerwear collection. We source textiles made from recycled plastic objects and fishing nets from the ocean.
We find it amazing that you can create luxury fashion garments, and at the same time take action to reduce the amount of waste and pollution in the ocean. We love our planet.
To eliminate overproduction of fur production, we strive to to recycle our fur garments by using mink cutoffs "waste fur" for our PARKA coats. Our collection includes a fur-lined parka coats, that is produced from mink cutoffs "waste fur".
